On 17 September 2026, Transparency International Malaysia (TI-M) continued its webinar series with “Speak Up with Confidence: Strengthening Whistleblower Protection, Ethics & Accountability.”
With 277 participants, the session brought together perspectives from the public, corporate and civil society sectors to explore Malaysia’s whistleblower protection framework, including the gaps that may affect confidence in reporting, as well as the practical measures organisations can put in place to ensure whistleblowing mechanisms are effective, fair and confidential.
The discussion also highlighted the importance of building a trusted speak-up culture where individuals feel confident to raise concerns and where organisations have the systems, safeguards and accountability mechanisms to respond appropriately. The session featured an opening speech by Ms Nurirdzuana Ismail, Secretary General of TI-M, and was moderated by Mr Muhamad Nazri bin Shaidon, EXCO Member, TI-M.
